Sugarpill: Pinup look using Royal Sugar & Goldilux

I've never done this kind of post before, but when I decided to play with my royal sugar I just fell in love with this. It's incredibly wearable- while still being sparkily and true to what/who (I think) Sugarpill is made for.

I used the same brown shadow I use for my brows on the outer edge of the eye and blended it into the crease - just to make a bit of a shadow to darken the blue. I then took Brulee eye shadow and cleaned up around the area and further blend out the brown. I also used it as my highlight. I took Royal Sugar, dry on a small fluffy brush and blended that over the brown. Tiny bits at a time- building it over the brown and up to just below the brow bone. I took brulee again and put a thin layer onto my lid and followed it up with Goldilux, dry on a small fluffy brush. Again small amounts - building the color until you get the desired shimmer. I took whatever was left over and blended it onto my brow bone. With a small pencil brush I applied royal sugar to the lower last line, about two thirds of the way. The take the same brush and smudge some Goldilux from the inner corner, blending into the and slightly under the blue.

To line the eye I took a liner medium and made a wet paste with royal sugar and lined it a little at a time- stopping to pat small amounts of the dry on top of the line to add sparkle and soak up any extra moisture. Then I took a black liner and lined only the lashline and underside of the wing.

Close up in an attempt to show the super thin double line I used against the lashes and to define the underside of the wing.My lashes are WAY too thin to go with the blue alone- and this line would be great to hide a lash band if you decide to use them.

What was used;

Face-
Hard candy Sheer Envy ultra light face primer
Revlon Custom Creations in light/medium
Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer & treatment in Medium

Eyes-
Two face shadow insurance.
Basic med brown shadow (any)
Wetn'wild single shadow in Brulee
Sugarpill Royal sugar
Any liner medium
Sugarpill Goldilux
Maybelline line stiletto
L'OREAL double extend in Black

Lips-NYX lip liner in Purple rain under Hard Candy lipstick in Party girl.

So that's it! Hope you liked it. Feedback is always welcome- as are questions.

Thanks!

CandleLynn Stink Stuff Review

Hello all! I missed you more than you know. If you are one of the few who noticed I had disappeared, I assure you it was not my own doing... it was fate. Fate killed my computers. All of them save one... a really old horrible piece of butt that took twenty minutes just to start up windows. Not as fun as it sounds. This is a little better but I'm still not running at full speed again. Soon my dears...soon.

Okay, now back to the fun stuff. The yummy stinks. The soapy soaps. The silky skin makers. The goods! From CandleLynn.

I am addicted to many benign things. Makeup, perfume, pets, shoes, art supplies, you get the idea. Above all I am in love with creating atmosphere. Good smells wafting through my house, easing stress, and creating moods for all seasons. I love soy/wax tarts. I love my tart burner. (it's a little black caldron with a black cat perched atop that blasts candle lit stars on my wall through cutouts in it's base. LOVE.) So when my favorite etsy tart store went into the great beyond due to some unfortunate events in the shop owners lives, I was suddenly without stink. I felt panicked. But surely I'd be able to find another good store with product I'd fall in love with just as I had with the former. How could I not? Right?

I love me some stinks! I started making small orders from a few little shops I found pleasing and/or interesting. Order after order came in and I opened each box full of hope and delight, only to be disappointed by one thing or another. One would smell good until I started to melt it and the smell warped into something weird or weak. Some were alright but I couldn't get over the high prices and tiny products. Some were all looks and no oomph to back them up. Messy. Ugly. Stinky. Smokey. Gnarled. The list of duds started to pile up to a depressing degree. I went into retail stores sure the issue was the small scale shops - even though the thought bummed me out to no end. They were largely more of the same. I had given up. I was over it. In the span of about five months I had tried several ways to fill my stink void to no avail. I was just going to have to smell my house. It's boring housey smell was what I'd have to grow to enjoy. So sad.

I turned to lotions. If my house was going to smell boring I'd be damned if I were going to smell boring in it! I started looking for lotions and perfume oils. Found a lot of good ones. A couple not so good ones. Then while searching for something to use on my mom's feet, (I'm a giver) I found CandleLynn. They had cute little scrub cubes in some interesting sounding scents, I decided to give them a try but wanted to read up on them and look around at what else they offered... Whats this! Soy tarts... maybe just a look... fifty some odd bucks later I checked out without the cute little scrub cubes that were the whole point of the order in the first place. humph. They sucked me back in!

I'd been searching for a particular type of scent for summer. I have this thing about lemon foody smells in hot weather. Makes sense only to me I'm sure, but lemon sugar cookie type smells scream summer to me. Some do vanilla, some lavender, I do lemon cake. Who knows. Getting back into it, I had found a perfume oil that smelled really good, if really faint and not so lingering as I'd have liked. They could put it in a body lotion ... but it was pricey and not too terribly large either. To me, there was really no upside to spending the money there. What are the odds that the lotions scent was going to last longer and be stronger than the actual oil right? So I now was searching for an alternative to that which now became my backup plan. I decided to annoy people.

When I wrote CandleLynn it was on the off chance that they might have a scent that would do the job but wasn't in their store right at that moment. What I got back was a lovely message from a lovely woman named Jana who was all too eager to help me out. She said she'd look around and see what she could find and if her search came up dry she'd be more than happy to try her hand at mixing something up for me! I'm paraphrasing mind you, she's well spoken as apposed to my giddily typed rambles.

I'd say maybe an hour later I got another message! She'd found some oils that might work, she sent me the descriptions, I picked the two that sounded most edible, and she shot off and ordered them that night! MAGIC! A couple days later I got a message letting me know they had arrived and they smelled INCREDIBLE. I may have peed a little. I'm excitable, like a puppy. So I ordered them in lotion and those cute little scrub cubes... and tons more tart tubs (I love the tubs) and a few lippies to give a try. This box took a little while to get to me because the sun doesn't rise and set in my butt, (I was surprised too,) and she had to make everything up. Freshness. She kept me in the loop while all that was going on via messages (which I LOVE) and when I got the box... the Squee's were plentiful. CandleLynn restored my faith in .. umm... in stink I guess? Yeah. Sure. Sounds good.

Alrighty, Lets get to the business it's self. An extremely brief rundown of what they offer (at the moment, because they're adding new things all the time) and then I'll toss you a rundown of what tickled my pickle and why you should .. umm... put it on your pickle? wait, no. I'm lost now. Umm

Okay, here's whats up. CandleLynn offers quite a few great little bath and body items including: Whipped hand and body lotion, Sugar scrub soap singles, Whipped foaming bath soap, Perfume oil roll-on, foaming and and body soap ,Little lip balms (think chap stick,) and natural goats milk loofah soaps.

They also, as I've harped on extensively, have tarts! In tons of yum stinks. :) And, drum roll please, in different types! You can get Tart tubs (my favorite,) Tart packs (the usual tart shape,) And Super king kong mega cute tarts on all sorts of shapes and things including mini melts, and clam shell packages. If tarts aren't your thing, they have tea lights and votives too.

Bearing in mind that I can only tell you about what I've tried - and I've yet to try it all...On to the bounty!

The Bath and Home Fragrance Spray is something that has been residing in my bathroom because it doesn't overpower you when you use it, Is the home fragrance spray. I love these. Alcohol and dye free too.

Sugar Scrub Soap Singles (1 for 3.50, 4 for 12.00): These little guys are great. Each little jar comes with 7-8 little scrubby cubes. These aren't so soft that they turn to mush in your hands, they're firm throughout use and hold up really well. Great to take into the shower and smooth over elbows and knees and whatever else needs a good sloughin'. I was able to use one cube for a few showers. I just plopped the remainder into a plastic baggie in the event that it decided to get melty on me- which it didn't. I got these in four scents, I'll describe them a bit further down in the review because I can! They scents stay consistent in every product I've tried. Amazeballs. They leave skin feeling really soft and smelling really good. Scents stay true but for a slight soapy smell, mostly while in use. When you finish the soapy smell subsides quite a bit and you are left with a nice clean smell of your chosen scent. Moreover! These are fantastic to use on your feet! Dead skin BE GONE!
Downside? They're small. Tiny even. So much so that I'm tempted to take them two at a time, which I think I could totally get away with because they last such a long time for me. I'd love a palm sized bar though.

Lip Balm (1 for 2.49, 5 for 11.95 It's best to check the site and/or etsy store for current pricing): Not pictured because they've all three left me. I ordered three flavor/scents and my mother and sister stole two of them and the third I've used so much already (I've had it for about a week now) it looks a mess. It's in the little white chapstick containers and is great. We all love ours. Moisturizing and the flavor/scent is vary mild, not overpowering. People who like flavored lip stuff but don't want to smell it all day will love these.

Downside? I guess the light flavor could be a downside...And it's slippery instead of sticky... Personal preference dictates that I am under qualified to assume what you might like/dislike. I really like them. Use mine daily. Any questions about them are welcome :)

Hand And Body Cream (1 for 4.25- 5.75, 3 for 14.95-Check the site/store): This stuff I really love. The consistency of this is kinda like silky whipped frosting. I described that while applying a wee amount of the Lemon Drop Cookies scented lotion... I honestly could eat my own arm. When I first got these I slathered on Lemon squares and people in the market were actually smelling me. In a good way... if that is possible. Strangers sniffing you openly is a tad off putting. But they were all very nice and I passed along the shop information. Service with a smile. Also, my daughter kept licking my arm, but I'm not entirely sure it was because of the lotion. She's in a weird place right now.

Downside? They look really small, deceptively so. A little goes a long way so that's not an issue for me either. I use it a few times a day for my hands (thanks to hand washing and sanitizing!) And before bed I give my lower legs, arms, elbows, and hands... and some baby feet, for about a month now and at this rate I think each tub will last me about 2 or 3 months before having to reorder... But don't quote me. It's a best guess.

Goats Milk Soap Loofah (set of 2 for 3.50): I love these too. Anything with a Loofah is fine by me. These are a perfect palm size :) unscented, and quite simply goats milk soap loofahs. I use it in the shower so I'm fully prepped for my sunless tanner. Gave one to my mom and she loves it too.

Downside? I'd like it to smell good... because I am insane. And it is and it can leave the skin a little dry if not followed by a post use lotioning.

Tarts!Tarts!Tarts!
Tart Tubs (2 for 3.25, 4 choose your own scent for 6.00, 3 pumpkin scents for 3.65Check the site/store for current pricing info): Why tubs? Because they seal in the scent! They keep your tarts smell from fading with time. You can melt a scent and if you want to change the scent out you can poor the melted wax right back into the tub and reuse it when you next feel like it. ^5 moody people! Great for storage too. Stack neatly on a shelf instead of the usual sack of loose tarts. I really love these tubs. Best idea. The scents last around 7-8 hours (that's just what I have been finding with the tarts I've used,) and because they're soy, they burn nice and clean. The scents are magical. AND they're adding more all the time! I'm gonna be so broke.

Downside? Well, there is the broke part. heh heh Other than that... none that I have found thus far. Crazy right? It's nuts. Even the broke part is made easier by ' liking' the facebook fanpage for sales and things.

Bakery&Specialty Tarts: These are so so CUTE. Muffins, brownies, cookie type sandwich deals, yummy little candle guys... all sorts of this I'm running out of descriptives for :)

Downside? They look so much like food that I actually had to hide them from pets, kids, and company. hahahaha

Stinks! (a few from my ever expanding collection)

Pumpkin crunch cake: This one is a favorite. I've already gone through half a tub of this and it's not even the season for it. It's the pumpkin scent you expect to find... sweet, almost like a cinnamon bun made with pumpkin and a tiny bit of melted butter over top.

Pumpkin Spice: This is my least favorite of the pumpkin scents. It's really spicy (duh) With some pumpkin, but mostly a sickly sweet almost mapley sort of spice scent. Not bad at, but not my favorite.

Pumpkin Cheesecake: Have you had the pumpkin Hershey kisses that come out in fall? It smells EXACTLY like those! I love this one- makes me want to eat tons of sweets. Love it.

Cupid: Straight up Cocoanut and cherry. Sweet and just really yum. less like suntan oil, more like macaroons. Girlie and nice- without smelling overwhelming or perfumey.

Clean Cotton: Fabric softener. I think it's the one with the bear on it... it's really nice. Reminds me of how the house smells when it's hot out and you have to use the dryer because you're in a rush... a hot dryer and fabric softener smell. Wonderful.

Pomegranate: The berry smell they put in all the yankee candles that smells soooooooo good. My house smelled like this constantly growing up. I have a million tubs of this one now. Sweet, warm, berry ... The candles that they called "mulberry" smell like this.

Black Raspberry Vanilla: Exactly what it sounds like. Sweet. You smell the berry and the vanilla and ... maybe a tiny hint of lavender? Teenie tiny, just to cut the sweet a tick. It's not foody while still being a sweet smell. It's a sweet kind of clean smell.

Banana Nut Bread: Banana nut bread batter. Exactly. Banana, sweet cream, tiny bit of nutmeg and spice- SO yum. omg. I want to bake. I may have to make some banana bread now... also smells a little like banana pudding in a gram cracker pie filling. awwwww I've gotta go to the store.

Banana Cream Pie: Cream, bananas, pie crust. In that order. Smells really good.

Log Cabin: Duraflame log! hahaha It smells like lighting a fire in the fireplace with a starter log. You know how those smell like pine trees but like, not... there's something else in there... I love the smell. Maybe a little bit of ceder smell...I'm sniffing as I type all of these btw - This smells like winter to me. This one I put in for only a couple minutes at a time before cooling it down again. This one tub is going to last me forever because it's such a good sort of background smell. Great for setting a wintery mood before watching a cold weather movie. Am I the only one who does that? I may be the only one who does that.

Harvest moon: BEST SMELL EVER! It's the smell you get in fall when you walk into a craft store. hahaha It's that perfect fall smell - When the weather gets hot and I start to feel like summer will never end (I love the fall) THIS SMELL makes it feel like fall again. It's those cinnamon scented pine cones they sell and all the fall spices.... ugh, so damn good. Words... there are none that can fully describe how much I adore this scent.

Bottom line, I wish there were more negative things to say about them. I honestly do. I just really like the company and the product. There is nothing that I hahttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifte more than a good company, with great product, who is run by a bunch of jerks. And I know you know there are a ton of them on the indie goods market. So when I find a company who has the holy trinity I get a little giddy. It shows in my writing and I get scared you'll be spooked out by my zeal. I blow no smoke. It's just really good stuff. If you "like" them of facebook you can get in on great sales, promo codes, and the like. They have an etsy and a .com store (click on any of those words to take you there) that both take paypal- which I just really like.

Shipping was great. Costumer service is great. Product is really great. Packahttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifging is really good, everything sealed up tight. Very professional, while still personable.

Expect to hear more about them in the future. More stink is on it's way to me. :)

Picked up anything from CandleLynn? Tell me about it!

Thanks for stopping by.

Noteworthy post script: I bought everything myself. Everything I say is all me. If something is bad I don't have a problem letting you know about it. That sort of information is as useful, if not more so to me when I'm "blog testing" any company, as the good stuff is - Dishonesty is a waste of both our time. Thanks again.

HiFi Cosmetics Review (First crack at them!)

They're coming to get you Baaawwwbrrraaahhh...

Alllllrighty. Let me start out by saying that I paid for these myself, but it was a sample pack for bloggers so I got to try a couple out to really be able to give a fair honest review of the shadows over all. I picked five colors with no guarantee that I'd get them, and yay! I received all the colors I asked for. Awesome.

I had heard of Hifi cosmetics before while dotting from blog to blog- I had even been to their Etsy store and stalked them from afar. When I had finally decided to try them out I got lost in color! There are so many gorgeous colors- wholly crap. When I found the sample option I was THRILLED because my broke ass was only going to be able to pick up maybe two of the shadows (the price is right at 6.00 a jar but I B PO) and I don't love being able to show you vary few colors. It almost feels like a waist of your time, and had I waited until I could buy a few of them for review it would be sometime next year and that is just shinnagins. SO! Without further wasting your time ... I give you... the GOODS!

Ordering.
All correspondence was fast and easy. No surprises. Thumbs up. (both to esty and to Hifi) Only real problem is the huge selection- which is less of a problem and more of a personal issue because I have a burning case of WANT.

Packing and Shipping:
Shipping rates are great. 1.50 + .50 per additional item. Beans.
Came to me fast, I can say that. What I can't say is how they would have come packed had I ordered a full jar. My samples were in baggies. Look for my future Hifi posts for this information.

Colors(the goooood stuff):
Note: I put all my samples in jars when I got them home. Pictures of jars were taken on top of the baggies they came in.

Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll (Rockstar collection):
This color is a lot more purple than it looks on the site, however I have noticed that it can look bluer in certain light. The sparkle is pink and maybe some blue- it's really pretty. I've used it a few times now and I just love it. It's great over Pixie Epoxy and without PE can be built up to a medium light coverage. This one I love over a black base. SO pretty.

This is Halloween (Nightmare 2010 collection):
I was SO excited about this one. I have a weakness for Halloween anything and if it's Halloween colors with glitter, are you kidding? I'm all over it. This is a flat true black base with orange glitter. Tiny orange glitter and slightly bigger orange glitter. I like it. I like the look I get when I use it. You MUST use a sticky base or you'll be covered in orange glitter fallout. I only use it with PE because I couldn't find anything else that makes the glitter really stick. There will still be glitter fallout, but it's not as bad. After about four hours I didn't have much glitter left. Bummer.

Omen (Nightmare 2010 collection):
This one is tough to explain...a wine/plummy/silvery/taupe with like silver sparkleishness... in my pics it looks more like a plummy brown but that's not what this is. I found this to be really fun to work with. It changes to suit what you're using it for- I swear, it just performs somehow and makes everything better! So weird. Completely fun and Completely wearable. It's over the top AND work safe. It's slightly sheer but blends out great. Love it.

Fan Mail (Rockstar collection):
This is a really lovely green with a ton of gold micro sparkle. Yeah, micro sparkle. Shut up. haha It's really pretty. Semi sheer. Great over a base. I like it. I wear it. It's not So unique that I'd tell you to run out and get it - that said, It's really a pretty color and if you've not got anything like it you'd do well to pick it up. It's lovely over a base. All good stuff.

Lost and Lonely (The Labyrinth Collection):
This could be my favorite of the bunch. It looks really similar to another color I have from HighVoltage cosmetics but this one is a tick more sheer and has a pink sparkle to it.(I would have added a photo but I misplaced a jar while cleaning) I love them both but this one is a little easier to work with over bases and with PE and things like that. On the site it looks a little more light blue than in person, other than that the color is true- the shift is definitely there. And it's in the effing Labyrinth Collection which makes my butt parts really really happy. My butt parts are well pleased.

In Summation:
I really liked these. I used them over and over again and really like the formula. They stick well even without anything to stick to (as much as a loose shadow can) and the lasting power was really good. I'll be placing orders in future, without question. I would, and have recommended it. I've gotten complements which is always really nice. The costumer service is really great. Great blog to go with it. I like it when you can ask an actual person and actual question and I find that HiFi is really good at that. I got extra buisness cards- love that! I've handed out a couple. Don't know if they give them out with every order though. Should have asked. HA!

Great stuff. Wonderful stuff. Try it out and tell me what you think! Have a color that is a MUST try? Let me know! What more pictures of what I have? Let me know and I'll do my best to help you out! Questions? Comments? Wanna be happy butt buddies? SURE! Send them along! Let me know!

Have a great day!

High Voltage Review! (now with important Edit)

EDIT: This is a non issue at this point- but they have disappeared and taken people's money and trust with them. Sad news. I'm leaving this up because some of the shadows are still floating around and being traded and whatnot so the swatches still seem relevant. There are TONS of indie companies I trust and love and I hope none of you let one or two bad apples spoil your indie makeup experience. Indie is gooood. Great even! The products from High Voltage were good products... but the one who was running everything was not the best at it. Shit happens. Stay tuned for more great indie swatch slutting from me and others in the future. Thanks!

Got a packet of skull and crossbone sweet tarts on my lap, a horror flick popped in my dvd and a song in my heart... oh yeah, and my HIGH VOLTAGE cosmetics order came in!
(woot sound here)

Click any of these pictures for a full view.

Let me start by giving you a Quick Rundown of the Site. It's easy to navigate and updated every couple of days lately. Not a ton of frills and show, but not completely lacking it either. Gets the job done, which is leaps and bounds above many of the independent cosmetic sites that have launched in the last five or so years. Best way to keep updated on product availability and new items is by following them on Twitter, which I will link you to right here.

Okay, First Impressions when I received my package was nothing all that spectacular. Manila envelope, handwritten address...bla bla bla Like the website, gets the job done.

Packaging: The jars that they come in are great. Nice tight seal- Which I LOVE- Only one of my labels (bottom) had a gram weight 1.5 grams & full ingredients on each (love.) I think it's safe to assume that is what you are going to get in all the jars- no sifter (yay.) Mine didn't come with the cute little logo sticker that they do now- so take note that they have cute little logo stickers on the tops of the jars now. SO cute too btw.

I ordered three (buy two get one free 1st anniversary sale) and they came wrapped in the little orange thing they are sitting on like a big piece of candy (yay candy! hahaha) I was a little bummed because there were no free samples- I'm spoiled I guess lol- I kinda feel like if I can't walk up to a counter and see them, I have a hard time selecting a color from (usually) hit & miss swatches. So getting a sample, even a tiny one-use type of sample, helps me tons. They do include samples of new colors and collections that come out but there's no telling when one might pop into your order. You can however, buy samples for a dollar a piece- not sure how they come as I didn't order any- which I now kinda regret.

Color Rundown:

Born to rock: This one is my favorite of the three. In the jar it looks like a warm purple gray, with slight green shimmer. When swatched it's more of a gray with a crazy green cast... almost like the color has it's own aura. The photo shows it pretty true to life here. It does not like pixie epoxy as much as I thought it would. It's really a cool color to lay with- I used it for a gray smokey and the way you can blend it out to mostly shimmer makes it perfect for it! This and a base- blend out the edges- done. So pretty! And it works perfectly with nyx glitter liner in "disco queen"... sooo pretty. LOVE it. May need to pick up a backup jar.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gypsy Queen: I expected something warm. Hence the side by side swatch below- Just to show you that it's a dark cool brown with cool light gold shimmer. When swatched I see some deep purple tones in it. I used this to darken my crease and lay down a base color for the nyx swatch and it was really great! I did not have anything like this because when I ordered I had much lighter hair- Which I love because it works so well on me now. Not what I thought it would be, but it turned out great. Swatch below is pretty dead on.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This last one was my freebie. When they have these sales you add the two to your card and put any freebies in comments at checkout. I asked her to just toss in a color she thinks I'd need (because I'd spoken to her over twitter) and she did!

On the Prowl: is a true mid tone bright purple with pink and purple(?) shimmer. When I opened it I thought, that looks a lot like Grape Pop from tkb... than I pulled it out to crosscheck and was excited to swatch side by side- it's like the matte best friend of grape pop! I was jazzed. I do love that color- This will be used.

Final thoughts. Full size shadows run between 3.50 and around six bucks. Jars packed to the tippy top and they don't leak all up inside your package. Shipping is super cheap. Everything came packaged well- see above "gets the job done" because it's still true. I really like these- I will be ordering again in the future. I'm eyeballing her lip whips and those solid fragrances they have. I would have liked a free sample, (maybe of something that needs a boost in sales?) I would have liked a buisness card or two because I give them out to people who ask whats on my eyes. Other than that I was really impressed. The costumer service is great- Hella nice chick. Love chatting with her, but if I didn't end up liking her shadows I would tell you. I'm honest like that.

Should you check out the site? Without a doubt. And the shipping and full size shadow/sample is low enough to get a couple few colors to try before committing to a huge order- which I love because I am so often broke - worth trying. Let me know what you got and what you thought! I'd love to hear from you! Also, follow me on twitter and I have a youtube that you are more than welcome to check out. I'm new to youtube though so be gentle hahaha. Oh! And I paid for all this stuffs. Duh, but it had to be said.

Alright! Comments and questions Welcome!
Thanks ya'll!

Fyrinnae haul (my first!)

I came. I ordered. I waited...waited a little more (not too bad considering they had a sudden mass of orders that week) I received! I opened! I REJOICED!!! yaaaay

^check that sexy paper hahaha click all pictures for full image

As this was my first order, I was weary of getting my hopes up too high. The hype on the Pixie Epoxy alone gave me the heebie geebies (both good and bad ones,) I did my usual google searches and youtube haunts seeing what there was to see. I didn't see anything bad enough not to give it a try. I am no where near disappointed.

It came packed fort knox style (took me ten minutes to get into it hahaha) in a Standard plastic padded envelope plastered in clear tape (love that,) items where in a fold of cardboard, wrapped in a bag, inside some SUPER cute skull and crossbones tissue paper (epoxy came double wrapped in foamy wrap inside of all that!) Safe to say the thing was bomb proof.

Color Breakdown according to Robin:

  • Electric Stardust(arcane magic): This color is easily in my top 8... heh heh. The color is more mermaid than I've ever seen... bright light cool green shifts to a Cool bright blue with gold iridescence. This color seems to make it's own light- Great lid/highlight color.
  • Glitter Boi (arcane magic): A dark blue/black base (but not that sort of thing where it looks like a black with glitter floating in it) With tiny glitter that shit from blue to purple. So sparkly!
  • We're all mad here (alice in wonderland collection): Love the name . The color is what made me want to make this order in the first place. When I first went on to make an order it was nowhere to be found- I thought I'd missed it. I was gutted. A week later I looked again and it was back! I ordered that night. It's a plush light green stuffed with light yellow (I'd call it) sparkle.
  • Dressed to kill: Did they make this color because of Eddie Izzard? Because this reminds me of him! I can't put my finger on why- but it also shares the name of one of his comedy specials. HUGE Izzard fan! HUGE fan of this color. (Sirvinya did a look on youtube with this color that I think shows EXACTLY what this color looks like. Seek it out!) This one is in my top three!
  • Velvet Vampire (arcane magic):I'm a little sick of vampires at this point... but this color is great! So wearable and yet still totally sexy. Shifts from an almost burgundy red to a plummy brown? With pink and gold iridescence -only in some lights! SO complex! The most fun to play with under a lamp. hahahaha I can't wait to wear it this fall!
  • Rapunzel had extensions: Crazy color. Also one of my favorites- I've warn it twice and I've only had these for two days! hahaha Once in a pinup sort of eye- and once as a lid color against a darker crease - It's a peachy pink that rubs down to a peachy gold- never seen anything like it.
  • Mephisto (halloween 2009): This one is my number one favorite color... possibly ever. It was an after thought when I was making the order- it was something I added at the last moment not expecting much more than a nice dark cranberry kinda color. No big whop. Wholly crap. When I opened these I was FLOORED by this color.. swatched it and I thought I was going to die. (I get drama like that over makeup sometimes hahaha) It's like this intense deep purple with like burgundy pearly sparkle type thing... ugh. magic.
  • Dokkalfar (freebie):This one is nice. I like it- I have something like it in my sample drawer but this one is far superior to the other. this over pixie epoxy is CRAZYNESS. It's a true dark black base with ...I want to say it has green/gold/blueish tiny glitter - SO nice!
  • Enchant (glow blush): I got this because... I had to! Look at it lol It's this bright warm orange with slight bits of pink shimmer. Not a ton. I hate shimmer in my blush... and I really love this blush. (if you want swatches or anything let me know)

^close up, artificial light (see above photo for names, they're in the same order here)

The pixie epoxy is everything everyone said it would be. No scent = awesome! Staying power is great. I did have to fiddle a bit with it to get it to work how I wanted but when I did I didn't know how I ever lived without it. I love glitter FAR too much to had never given this a whirl before now.

Final thoughts thus far :

I love that I have the ability to try this stuff and play with it a million ways and swatch to my little hearts content without feeling like I've wasted an opportunity to fall in love with & commit to a new color/product. I am fully aware that not every company- and in fact vary few small companies can afford to do it up like Fyrinnae can- But boy am I happy that this company can. I had a great experience with this site. I just did. I could log into the site and check the progress of my package -which I need because I'm crazy and want updates!- I'll be buying from them again without a doubt! Check them out :)

Any questions or comments are welcome. Annoy me freely hahaha
Thanks for reading it.
